“ We went tonight for the all you can eat crab legs every Wednesday night. It was only 50. They first serve a nice side salad with a bread stick. Then they give you a piece of corn on the cob with some corn fritters before serving the crab legs. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. There was live music with plenty of outdoor seating. The waitress informed us of upcoming events that sounded like it would be so much fun. We will definitely be back! ”
“ In town for the weekend staying at the Cranberry hotel and this gem of a restaurant is directly across the parking lot. We ate here every day of the weekend, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Not one time was I disappointed in anything. The service, food, atmosphere promptness were extremely on point! I highly recommend this to anyone! ”
“ We were staying at the hotel next door and decided to try this place based on its great reviews. The bar scene is not our thing when we are looking for fine dining, but they balance it well here. We were definitely NOT disappointed. Our server was super sweet and very attentive. We were there on Steak Thursday Steak, potato, salad, and breadstick 20, and we added a lobster tail for 15. We had the Calamari and Truffle fries for our appetizers, and they were just great. The side salads came out next, fresh, green, and just perfect. No limp lettuce here. Cucumber, tomato, croutons, and a nice ranch dressing. But then the steak...oh my goodness, sheer perfection. Medium rare cooked exactly right. Juicy, flavorful, tender. Nice soft baked potato, fluffy, not hard. Lobster tail was large and cooked to perfection. Overall ?? There was nothing about our meal or our service that was not spot on !!! Super impressed !!! I even bought the TShirt to remember it by Tropic like its hot !!! Enjoy !!! ”
“ Tropics is a Morgantown institution. I love the outdoor seating, the white tablecloths, the plastic Pepsi cups, the bar, the backroom with games, the collection of Hawaiian and American menu items, the overnight parking for safety. Its such a beautiful collection of items that come together to create a place that could only exist here, and I love it for that. I always love the ahi tuna here. Come and enjoy this incredible place, and savor the fact it exists. ”
“ We were in town for an event at WVU. Food, service, and atmosphere were excellent!!!! We didnt know what to expect, and we were definitely impressed. We had Mochiko Chicken, Chicken Katsu and the Hawaiian Chicken sandwich. We finished our meal off with the hula pie. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with suggestions. All around great experience. Cant wait to come back. ”
“ I learned about this place from my Dad who frequently visits here. He raved about it, so we went here as a family for my birthday celebration. He was raving for a reason. We were not disappointed. It was a Wednesday, so we all had the AYCE crab legs and it was well worth it. The crabs were delicious cooked perfectly. They were steamed, not boiled so they cracked wonderfully every time. We all had about 4 plates before tapping out. Trust me, this is not a place thatll allow you to leave hungry. The waitstaff were all incredibly kind courteous. They made sure we had everything we needed even brought out some extras. No cup was left unfilled no plate was ever without crab legs, they keptem coming. The atmosphere was very chill, I loved the projection of the aquarium on the back wall. I think it brought a lot of character to the space. Although, it was packed, we didnt feel cramped at all. It was cold rainy, so we didnt get to check out the patio, but that just means we have to come back when its warmer. With that said, we cannot wait to come back here TRUST ME ... we will be back!! Crab legs are mine my Dads favorite food. Not many places have AYCE even less places do it right. Tropics, youre setting the bar. Keep up the great work! ”
“ Delicious Hawaiian food with amazing hula pie! Definitely will stop by here again if in the area. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. ”
“ Situated in the same parking lot as The Cranberry Hotel this was a perfect place to relax after a day of travel and hiking. The atmosphere is very relaxing and tropical, helping your heart rate and breathing to slow as soon as you enter the outdoor seating area. The staff are friendly and casual, helping you feel like you dining with friends at your service. Because we were walking back to our hotel room we each got an alcoholic drink. My husband got a bourbon and I chose a rum drink, Tropical Sunset, which was so refreshing. Our entrees were fish tacos, cheese burger and sides of macaroni salad. Delicious! It was the perfect way to end our day! ”
